What is Potato MC?

Potato MC is a radically stripped-down, violently fast open-source Minecraft server written in Rust. It is designed to run smoothly on extremely low-end hardware (like a $3 VPS) without sacrificing the core multiplayer survival experience. It eliminates JVM bloat and Garbage Collection pauses entirely.

Requirements

• OS: Linux (Ubuntu/Debian/Alpine recommended), Windows 10/11, macOS.
• RAM: 512MB Minimum (1GB+ recommended).
• CPU: Any 64-bit processor (Multi-threading highly recommended).
• Network: Port 25565 open.

Quick Start Guide

1. Download: Grab the latest binary from the Download page.
2. Install: Place the binary in an empty folder.
3. Run: Execute the binary from your terminal/command prompt.
4. Configure: The server will generate default configuration files on first boot.
